Fat grafting in Guernsey & Jersey
Fat grafting describes the process of taking fat from one part of the body (donor site) using special techniques, finely processing it, and injecting into another area of the body (recipient site) for aesthetic or functional reasons.
In recent years, it has become apparent there is more to fat injections than first thought – the appearance and quality of tissue over the injected fat improves over time in many people and it is now well recognised that body fat contains a reservoir of regenerative stem cells and proteins. Your own fat is harvested by liposuction, then processed as micro-fat using specialised techniques and the fat then precisely injected and sculpted for facial rejuvenation.
Fat grafting can require more than one session (procedure) to produce the final desired result. Common sites for injection include the face, but also the breast, and for use to address contour irregularities on various other areas of the body.
